About Me:
A Southern California native, Megan Crockett is no stranger to the arts.
From an early age it was clear that singing was more than just a hobby. From elementary school through college, she sang in multiple choirs ranging from an all women's barber shop quartet, to large SATB choirs, to intimate madrigal groups.
It was only a matter of time before acting was introduced into her life, and was quickly added to her list of things she most passionately wanted to do with her life.
From then on, Megan took on any job she could do to learn more about the theatrical world. Her two favorite behind-the-scenes jobs were wig/hair design and stage management, both of which were her reasons for interning at California Music Circus in Sacramento. Although she stage managed numerous shows during and after college, it wasn't long before acting was something that needed to be done as frequently as possible.
Megan has performed in Gilbert and Sullivan classics “The Mikado” (twice!), “H.M.S. Pinafore” and “Ruddigore,” along with Rogers and
Hammerstein's “Carousel,” Sondheim's “Side by Side by Sondheim,” The Academy for New Musical Theatre's “15 Minutes Musicals,” an ANMT workshop of “Rapunzel” and the world premiere stage adaptation of “Forbidden Zone Live in the Sixth Dimension.”
It isn't all just musical theatre though. Megan has appeared in Shakespeare's “The Taming of the Shrew,” “Watson: The Last Great Tale of the Legendary Sherlock Holmes,” the late-night-hit-turned-Fringe-Festival favorite “Magnum Opus Theatre” (Winner of Best Ensemble in the 2010 San Francisco Fringe Festival) and she can often be seen performing multiple crazy characters in another late night hit, “Serial Killers.”
Megan holds a BA in Theatre Arts from California State University Northridge, is a proud company member of the Sacred Fools Theater and continues to reside in Los Angeles
